Detailed Description: 3M 1-Step fire barrier rated foam features a premium two-part, easy-to-handle formulation that creates a barrier for smoke, sound and flames. It is ideal for wall and floor penetrations. It expands up to five times during installation and firmly bonds to most construction substrates like concrete, metal, wood, plastic and cable jacketing. Foam helps maintain a tight firestop against smoke and flame during a fire. Foam dries to a flexible solid and features a sag resistant formulation. It is re-enterable/repairable and can be painted with a primer.

Foam adheres well and cures quickly to eliminate the need for mineral wool and caulk. It is ideal for use in applications like blank openings, metal pipe, cables, cable tray, insulated pipe, combination penetrations through concrete floor/wall and gypsum wallboard assemblies. Foam is firestop rated, is UL listed and meets ASTM E 814 standards. Foam also meets the international building code for passive fire protection.
