Detailed Description: Eaton / Cutler Hammer 1-Pole Top-hat rail mount EMD supplementary protector is designed specially for high inductive loads where high levels of inrush current are expected. It is ideal for convenience receptacle circuits, motor control circuits, computers, relays, UPS, HACR equipment and other branch service applications. It features thermal magnetic trip free mechanism that operates to provide over current protection. Captive terminal screws come with finger and back-of-hand protection. It has an interrupt rating of 5 kilo-Amps and current rating of 0.5 Amps. It measures 17.7 mm x 80 mm. Breaker has field-installable shunt trip and auxiliary switch subsequent mounting. Current limiting design of protector allows fast short-circuit interruption that reduces the let-through energy. It features instantaneous trip current of 10 - 20X that causes the circuit breaker to trip without intentional time delay. It can withstand a operating temperature of -40 to 167 deg F. It is ideal for applications where protection against low-level short circuit faults in control wiring is desired. EMD supplementary protector is UL listed and CSA certified.
