Detailed Description: Eaton / Cutler Hammer 1-Pole Top-hat rail mount EMD supplementary protector is designed specially for high inductive loads where high levels of inrush current are expected. It is ideal for convenience receptacle circuits, motor control circuits, computers, relays, UPS, HACR equipment and other branch service applications. It features thermal high magnetic trip point mechanism that operates to provide over current protection. Captive terminal screws come with finger and back-of-hand protection. Current limiting design of protector allows fast short-circuit interruption that reduces the let-through energy. Breaker has field-installable shunt trip and auxiliary switch subsequent mounting.

Protector has a current rating of 4 Amps and voltage rating of 277 VAC and 48 VDC. It measures 17.7 mm x 80 mm. It features instantaneous trip current of 10 - 20X that causes the circuit breaker to trip without intentional time delay. Circuit breaker lug is used to terminate large power cables of range 4 - 18 AWG. It is toggle operated for hands free mechanism for added safety. It has an interrupting capacity of 10, 15 kilo-Amps that reduces the let-through current and energy, which can damage the circuit. It can withstand a operating temperature of -40 to 167 deg F. It has an interrupt rating of 5 kilo-Amps for extreme tropical conditions. It is ideal for applications where protection against low-level short circuit faults in control wiring is desired. EMD supplementary protector is UL listed and CSA certified.
