Detailed Description: Hammond 3-Phase Auto transformer features an encapsulated core and coil enclosed construction with NEMA 3R steel enclosure. It has copper winding with wye primary configuration and uses wire leads for connection. It can be wall mounted and uses air/dry cooling. It has the voltage rating of 240/208Y Volts at 60 Hz and the power rating of 15 KVA. It has 80 deg C of temperature rise and 130 deg C of insulation system. It has impedance less than 3%. It includes standard side and rear conduit knock-outs on all units.

Autotransformer is used for applications where small voltage corrections are necessary in a distribution system and can be used as either a step-up or step-down transformer. It can also be used as an economical alternative to general purpose distribution isolation transformers to adjust the supply voltage to match specific load requirements when load isolation from the supply line is not required.
