Detailed Description: Leviton Decora® Strauss™ Transformer-Free™ Impedance matching volume control provides for multi-room distribution without the necessity of using external impedance matching devices. Volume control can be used to design a no-compromise installed multi-room entertainment system that delivers the best reproduction possible from today's ultra-wide bandwidth digital sources. It uses audio-grade Cermetile resistors to change volume levels while leaving the audio signal unaffected resulting in ruler-flat frequency response across the entire audible frequency range.

Volume control removes the problem of saturation associated with conventional volume controls with their ability to instantaneously handle the full peak output power of any consumer-grade amplifier. It is constructed of high impact, fire retardant white polycarbonate for high impact resistance and safer operation. It features Decora slide control with precision 12-positon switch including full off position.

Volume control is provided with transformer-free attenuation technology that confirms linear frequency response, signal integrity and high power handling ability. Volume control features adjustable impedance settings that enable configuring systems from two-six controls. It has Cermetile resistors that replace conventional auto-formers to conserve audio signal purity. It comes with detachable cable connector of size 14 - 18 gauge is compatible with all standard speaker wires.

Volume control has Decora designer styling that adds an elegant touch to any decor. It can be used outdoors when mounted with any compatible Decora all weather cover. Volume control is provided with the ability to adjust the volume of a pair of stereo speakers within a single listening zone. It is designed to be mounted in a 1-Gang wall-switch box and has 0.200 Inch 8-pin in-line straight Phoenix plug with screw terminals.

Volume control has frequency response at 20Hz - 20 kHz with +/-1 dB tolerance and is power rated at 200 Watts peak/100 Watts RMS for feasible operation. It is designed with nominal impedance of 8-Ohm and comes with standard 1-Gang design with mounting depth of 2.5 Inch. Volume control is ISO-9001 registered.
