Detailed Description: NSI FireStop Residential fire block in red color creates a barrier against flames, smoke, toxic gasses and has superior adhesion as well as gunnability. It is made of a single component, non-combustible material and is great for use in annular spaces around wires, pipes, ducts, vents and other penetrating items at ceiling and floor openings. Integrity of fireblocks is restored in one and two family construction.

Block can also be used in rooms with wood and steel frame constructions. It is ideal for residential applications. Fire block exceeds ASTM-E136 standards for fireblocking residential requirements prescribed by all major-model building codes and also meets or exceeds requirements of UBC, BOCA, SBC, IRC, NYS and MA codes. Fire block meets UL 1479/ ASTM-E136 standards.
