Detailed Description: Nora Air-Tite Non-IC line voltage 4-Inch housing is designed for use in non-insulated ceilings where insulation can be kept 3 inches from thermal insulation and 1/2 Inch from adjacent building components. It has a power rating of 50 Watts. Housing restricts airflow from room into ceiling plenum as it includes pre-installed gaskets. It has 0.040 steel frame with integral bar hanger brackets that can accommodate longer 27-Inch accessory flat bar hangers.

Housing features 0.035-Inch white baked enamel one-piece drawn steel construction for durability. It has a galvanized steel socket plate that adjusts inside housing for optimum light performance. This socket plate can be removed to convert into a floating socket. Housing conforms to accommodate ceiling thickness of 5/8 - 1-3/8 inches. Pre-wired junction box features galvanized steel construction with seven 1/2-Inch knockouts, four Romex® pry-outs and snap on covers.

Housing includes two 13-3/4 - 24-1/2 Inch adjustable bar hangers with captive nails that are included on the frame. Housing has ceiling opening that measures 8-1/2 Inch x 5-5/8 Inch x 5-3/4 Inch x 4-3/8 Inch. Bar hangers can be repositioned 90 deg perpendicular to junction box. Sidewall surface of housing is affixed to a standard UL thermal protector that is rated for 90 deg C. It is provided with quick connector for easier installations and has bar hangers for T-bar installation. Housing is cULus listed and meets or exceeds ASTM-283 standards.
