Detailed Description: Schneider Electric / Square D Modicon M580 Level 3 distributed processor module has capacity to interface 3072 discrete inputs/outputs or 768 analog inputs/outputs. It features 64 application specific channels that can be used for time stamp, motion control, counter, serial link, HART, SSI encoder inputs/outputs. It has programmable loop channels for process controlling. Module is integrated with 2 Ethernet TCP/IP for connecting device network, 1 Ethernet TCP/IP for connecting service port and a mini B type USB for external connection. It can be connected to 128 distributed equipment, eight AS-Interface modules and three Ethernet communication modules. DIO scanner provides communication service to the processor module. It uses eight racks for internal power supply needs.

Module provides 1024 KB data RAM, 12 MB program RAM, 10 KB system RAM and 4 GB expandable flash memory for storing/processing of data. It performs one cyclic/periodic master task, one periodic fast task, 128 event tasks and two auxiliary tasks. It executes maximum of 20000 instructions per milli-second. It has a current rating of 295 milli-Amps and voltage rating of 24 VDC. Red and green color LEDs are provided for signaling processor module operation. It is IP20 rated to withstand harsh environmental conditions. Module operates at temperature rating of 0 to 60 deg C, stored at temperature rating of -40 to 85 deg C and works in environment with a relative humidity of 5 - 95%. Processor module is UL listed, CSA/CE certified and is RoHS compliant.
